Celebrating the launch of Inherent Vice, the film based on Thomas Pynchon’s novel, Joshua Light Show have taken over the 100 Room of Ace Hotel in Shoreditch with a display of giant psychedelic projected patterns.
Aurora Multimedia had the challenge of rigging a series of projectors to throw images across the floor to ceiling windows, bright enough for them to be visible inside and out. Tall projection booths were created to house three full HD 5400 lumens Panasonic projectors with short throw 0.8:1 lenses. The large scale visuals were accompanied by the ethereal film score, composed by Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead. The three projections were mapped to the windows and synced to the music using Resolume.
